I had to get out of my studio to paint today. It was 81 and a beautiful day. Suggestions had been made to paint Comanche Peak as it is the commanding presence above Lake Granbury for 10′s of miles around. I found a spot in a school parking lot which was far enough away and high enough for a great view. As the sun began to set, the colors came out and shifted into this wondrous collection of tones and values…
