The Church is located four miles south of Llano, Texas on Highway 16 sandwiched between two large ranches in the foothills of the Riley Mountains. The building has been the Oatman Creek Baptist Church for many years. Our family acquired it in 2004, years after the last church service had ended.
We have been performing much needed cosmetic surgury to the outside of the building off and on over the winter.
Eventually we hope to change the building into a fine art gallery. For the present, it will be a visual placeholder for my website.

We are very pleased to have a new gallery in Llano. I am a director with the Llano Chamber of Commerce and hope that if you are not already a member you will consider becoming one. It is a pleasure to have wonderful artistic talent in our home town. Please contact the chamber for any help you might need
sincerely

Thank you, Robin, for the nice welcome and offer of help. We will be taking this project slowly and probably not turning the church into a gallery for another year or so. In the mean time, we will visit the Chamber next time we come in to town. We will look forward to meeting you and the other members of the Chamber of Commerce. We are also interested in any historical information other members of the community might have about the church.
Thank you again,

Last week my husband and I were driving down to the Hill Country for our summer vacation. Decided to take the “back roads” from Dallas, and incredibly, we passed your church on hwy 16 south! I just about screamed, since I had purchased my first painting from you a few days earlier! What a happy coincidence.

I am so thrilled that you are keeping the church and restoring it into an art gallery. We too love to drive the back roads and passed through there once after the church had closed. I walked inside and it is a beautiful work of art itself; like going back in time. This weekend we passed it again and saw your sign. Please don’t loose the nostalgia the site brings. I look forward to visiting the gallery.
