Although I have painted this view recently, I did not have the rose hips in my view from where I stood. This just seemed right to paint the view again but with the hips in the foreground. And then I saw the moon as the clouds started to clear…

I was invited here for a short interview on Plum TV’s Morning show for this Friday. The if was, would I hang outside the Coast Guard Boat house and do a painting in today’s 30 degree weather and breeze, while they stayed warm inside interviewing their other guests. I think I did a good job for my part ! My down jacket and vest certainly helped… Just wish I watched TV so I could see the whole production…

This painting was started in August. I had just gone out on a dog walk and saw these clouds. I had to end the walk and grab my easel and paint this scene before the clouds disappeared. The poor dog never did know why the walk was so short…
