"Sepiessa Point"

“Sepiessa Point”

“Sepiessa Point”, this is a small painting, 6″ x 8″, oil on canvas panel. This painting has SOLD.

A short walk on a sun filled day and I found myself contemplating the edge of West Tisbury Great Pond. Around the next bend came a Great Blue Heron hovering 3 feet above the edge. My lens cap was on my camera and I missed a very close up shot. Well, the back drop wasn’t half bad and that is what this painting is all about. (And don’t mention lens caps to me!)…

“Evening Birdbath” , this is a Small painting, 6″x 8″, oil on canvas panel. $550.00 USD

I mowed the lawn today. Or I should say the weeds. They had grown twice as high as the grass from the rains we just had. With the wind from the SE gusting to 36 mph from my right and the temperature hovering near 60, it was a charm being out there. And it was pure luck that this painting came back with no sand on it. Gratefully, it had rained and the sand hugged the ground without lofting. Some days things look bad but they all work out just right…

\"To The Beach\"

“To The Beach”, this is a Small painting, 6″x 8″, oil on canvas panel. This painting has SOLD.

This is a beach path where I enjoy taking my students to paint. In the big picture it appears to be only greens, blues and beiges. In reality there is much subtlety to this simple scene. It is always a revelation when working here…

\"Lightening Up\"

“Lightening Up”, this is a Small painting, 6″x 8″, oil on canvas panel.$500.00 US

The flat, unshadowed landscape turned into a jewel as the sun pushed through the clouds and lit up the scene before me…
