I WORK EN PLEIN AIR, OUT IN THE COUNTRYSIDE… Welcome. I am back to painting again after a sabbatical that included a few pieces done for charitable fund raisers. I am continuing to make small, 6" x 8", landscape oils, but not every day. I am also working on larger pieces. Every time I finish a painting, I will place it here on my website. I couldn’t resist painting the island’s other Water Works. I no sooner set up my easel on location than my cell rang with a request for a painting donation for the Preservation of the Water Works building. Thinking fast, I said I would do 2 paintings today and donate 1 and post the other. The presure was on, as someone was coming to pick up the, as yet, unpainted painting in 2 hours. They received a very nice wet painting to auction off and I was able to do this 2nd one …This painting has SOLD.

I have always liked walking in to the Water Works, but could never find the right vantage point from which to paint. I have to thank the Martha’s Vineyard Surfcasters Association for donating and installing a bench along the side of the path and the pond from where I was able to capture today’s painting.This painting has SOLD.
