I WORK EN PLEIN AIR, OUT IN THE COUNTRYSIDE… Welcome. I am back to painting again after a sabbatical that included a few pieces done for charitable fund raisers. I am continuing to make small, 6" x 8", landscape oils, but not every day. I am also working on larger pieces. Every time I finish a painting, I will place it here on my website. Finding old stone or adobe buildings to paint are getting harder to locate as they are replaced with metal buildings…

It is stock show time in Fort Worth at the moment. I have never seen so many shampooed, brushed, combed and cleaned cattle and pigs before in my life. Wilber would be proud. It took a while to find a quiet corner with some live stock already in place for me to paint. These critters did a good job of it for me…

Sunset with the sun to my back in the barnyard at home. The cattle hadn’t seen me painting in their field in 6 months. They all had to huddle around me as I worked. Other wise I would have painted one or two into this scene…

Most of the settlement of the Terlingua Ghost Town, when the mines were operational, happened in, around and below the area where the church is. The dynamite was kept up above and away from the living areas in that little shack up on the hill. I suppose being out there and so visible was a deterrent to any accidents or would be saboteurs…
